The True Path
For as long as man has been self aware he has tried to explain the world in which he lives. He lives in a world of forces and creatures that interact with him in strange and mysterious ways and he wanted, and still today wants, to know why.
I won’t say that man became more intelligent over time, because there is no real proof of that. Rather I will say that man became better educated. As time passed the elders of the tribe passed along the stories and their own interpretations of the things around them. The elders produced those who became the Shamans who tried to keep the accumulated knowledge of the tribe. This knowledge was disbursed as situations arose and the people asked for explanations. And this was repeated in the stories told to children by the women of the tribe.
Our ancestors lived in a world that was as much spiritual as physical. They knew the spirits and named them by types and functions and many of those names were passed down through the fog of time. They are the stuff of the myth and legends we so often disregard. Because, we now live in a world of Science where there is no room for spirits.
It is a sad truth that as a culture becomes more “advanced” they become less and less spiritual. And that brings us to the world we live in today. A world where the spirits our ancestors knew are still here, just known by other names and other descriptions.
I have described how the creatures of myth may have a foothold in modern cultures before. This time I will continue on the subject of the UFO phenomenon and how the stories of abductees compare to the legends of our past.
Many have read the stories of the abductee who once taken is mated with an alien being. Think about that for a moment, why would an advanced race do that? There are far more examples of the ET taking sperm and egg samples by surgical means so why have a sexual act involved? Why risk the transfer of less desirable organisms? The answers would be pure speculation so we leave it at that, but the story has a familiar ring to it. The Incubus.
For at least a thousand years the Incubus and Succubus have prowled the world of darkness. When we add in the stories of Fairies, Satyrs, and Sprites that were known to cavort with humans we have a story that stretches back to man's earliest days. Sometimes attractive, shapely, and woman like, sometimes ugly and beastlike, sometimes androgynous they all share the common desire for the human seed. Or at the least a desire to mate with humans and possibly risk producing offspring. But why?
Perhaps we need look no further than our own history to find an answer. Our history is filled with stories of people having sex with all manner of creatures for no other reason than they could. Our own Earth bound explorers did not hesitate to make use of the women they encountered in their travels to ease the “stress” of a long voyage. Perhaps an ET would also seek a little friendly R&R as it were, or just be moved try something “kinky” for a change. Could it be just silly human pride that wants to make more of it than that?
There also are stories of women becoming pregnant after, or being pregnant before, the abduction. In almost all the after cases the ET returns later and removes the Fetus, and even in some of the before cases the Fetus is removed. Why? Perhaps ET has past cases to think of as well. Legend does speak of children born of visits to Humans by the Gods, and how they differed from true Humans. And, I can understand the ET desire to leave no trace behind, and so abort any pregnancy caused by a crewman, but why take a human Fetus? Sadly the most likely reason to me is as a specimen for study.
And the Hybrid children some report? I doubt that is accurate. It is more likely that the human was shown children to let them see that the ET also produces young like we do. But think about it for a moment, why would an exploration ship have a day care for children? Why use the space and fuel to haul a bunch of kids through space? It would be far more likely that the young were the next generation of Crewmen. Crewmen grown as the ship needed them, probably with much accelerated growth and other genetic modifications intended to make them useful as soon as possible. They looked different because they were designed that way. They may look more human so they can move about our planet less noticed, or it may be nothing more than utility, form follows function as it were. After all our body design is that of the most successful creature on the planet, so why not grow drones in that design to do surveys with?
Just as early man looked up at the sky and asked “Why?” the abducted often ask the same of their abductors.
So what then do we make of the answers/ messages that many claim they received while in ET’s company?

Aliens
I borrowed this list from another site that deals with UFO encounters. After looking it over I now believe that almost everyone I have ever met has been abducted. Just joking of course, but the list covers so many common things it's scary. Number 48 for example describes every teenager I knew as a boy, and most people I know today.
But injoy.
Alien Abductions
52 Indicators Of Encounters Or Abductions By Aliens
Many millions of people, it seems, have had encounters with alien beings. Many of those people do not realize that they are having these experiences because of suppressed memories. Their awareness is limited to an occasional paranormal incident that seems to confuse them more than anything else. Some people are not ready to know for sure, others feel a deep need to know if they are involved with the beings. If you are in the later group, read on. This is a list of 52 common indicators shared by most UFO abductees. It is based on known research on the subject and on personal findings. It has been compiled to help you determine if you are abductee. Of course there may be other explanations for these occurrences and this is in no way an absolute means of knowing if you are an abductee. If you or someone you know does fit many of these traits listed here, PLEASE seek the help of a qualified researcher of therapist. This list is not in any particular order. Ask yourself if you . . .
1. Have had missing or lost time of any length, especially one hour or more.
2. Have been paralyzed in bed with a being in your room.
3. Have unusual scars or marks with no possible explanation on how you received them. Especially if you have an emotional reaction to them. (i.e. small scoop indentation, straight line scar, scars in roof of mouth. in nose, behind or in ears, or genitals, etc.

The UFO Community
The UFO community consists of the people who find this subject attractive for some reason. There are authors who have written and sold books on the subject, people who have seen strange objects in the sky, those who claim to have been abducted or have willingly entered a craft, and those who claim to study the phenomenon
By far the biggest complaint of the UFO community has been the lack of interest by the "Main Stream Science" community. Why is it they ask that so many sightings and so much evidence goes un looked at? There must be a cover up in place!
But then if one takes a step back and looks at just who is in the mix with the rest you can see why few scientists worth their PHD would associate with them.
For every average Joe that has seen something in the sky there is someone who claims that the answer is metaphysical and that the "Saucers" are actually from another dimension and are just projected into our minds. The discussion runs from images of pure energy to solid objects operated by our own government in secret. Physics, Quantum Physics, and the Occult all get tossed into the mix and stirred vigorously.
Another huge problem for their credibility is their gullibility. One one site I visit I have seen a complete change in what is quoted as "accepted" or " widely accepted" theories. A change brought about by little more than a new member who has a decent mastery of words.
And then there is the Science Fiction influence.
Oh where to begin on this one!
Suffice it to say that the long running series Stargate-SG1 has left a lasting impression on how the Grey ETs are viewed. And that Close Encounters of The Third Kind, and ET, have convinced millions of the good intentions of any ETs that may drop by.
There may be some hope for a decent investigation though. The UFO group MUFON has teamed with a billionaire to study sightings. The "generous donor" has a motive of his own of course, he owns a company trying to develop technology based on reported capabilities of these things.
And thus is born another conspiracy theory.

Elves
Elves
I am a big believer in there being a basis in fact for many things spoken of in mythology. And Elves are an area that I think can explain a lot. Early Norse and Germanic lore devided Elves into three groups.
The Light Elves are man sized creatures, not unpleasant to look at, with magical or God like powers. They are very much like the Nymphs of the Greek and Roman myths. They were almost God like in their long lives and powers.
Then there are the Dark Elves, a more unfriendly folk that aren’t as large or as fair of skin. The Brownies of Scotland or the Leprechaun of Ireland might be Dark Elves. The Dwarves common to many cultures are much like the Dark Elf. Unfriendly may be too strong a word, but these are the ones blamed for mischief against people. It was said that of a Light Elf was like sunshine a Dark Elf was like pitch.
Lastly is the Black Elf. An even more black hearted and mean spirited creature of small size, these may well be the Goblin, the Gremlin, or even a Demon.
Almost every culture ever studied has references to something like these entities. Fair skinned, by comparison, God like folk. Smaller folk of similar appearance who shy away from people, and small dark spirited beings that seem to thrive on causing trouble for man.
Here in Indiana we have the Indian legend of the Pukwugi, a small people who look like human children. They live in the woodlands along rivers, often in cave like holes in the hills and banks above the flood line. ( Think primitive Hobbit) In the summer they build shelters of bent sticks and branches covered with leaves and grass.
Even today we find beings that seem to match these. As stories of the Little people live on.
Today however the beings aren’t seen as Elves, but as Aliens. The tall fair beings are called the Aryans, the small mean ones are the Blues. And just as in old they are sometimes seen together. And they are still said to bedevil humans.

The Bogyman
I have a theory. I think that oral history is alive and well in the high technology era.
AND I think that some of the stories being told are thousands of years older than many think.
Oral history is nothing more than asking your Grand Father about what he did in the war, then re-telling the story to a friend or family member.
I was at a genealogy group meeting and was listening to such stories about people’s families when I realized what was happening. And I realized that it matched my theory.
When a child cried at night a woman hushed the child with a warning that the Bogeyman would come and take them away if they weren’t quiet. This story was passed down from generation to generation until the actual identity of the Bogeyman was lost to time. Or a man warns a child to stay away from the waters edge at a lake because of snakes. Snakes are of no real danger in most areas today so why the warning? Could it be the residue of a warning of some ancient predator that once lurked in most streams? A snake like or reptilian creature that took small creatures along the bank as crocodiles do today? Maybe even the same creature that spawned the dragon stories so common in many early cultures.
I believe that these stories once had a basis in fact. All we need to do is find it.
What will future generations think of some of our stories.
A thousand years from now, after we have collapsed from over population, or Global Warming, or what ever calamity you wish, and the earth’s population consist of bands of hunter gatherers and small farmers. When they sit at night and tell stories what will they talk about.
Will they tell about the Star Men who once visited the moon? About the great kings and their fantastic weapons that could burn a city beyond the horizon? Or maybe about how the tribe of Sim lived two lives at once. One here and now and another in some strange ether world of the Online.
Or if we do survive, and advance, will they tell tales about the days when we fought over the remains of long dead animals like some strange carrion feeders.
We assume that all we know and accept will survive the ages, but will it really be as we see it?

History?
History
It can be said that almost all communication consists of history. Be it ancient history, or current events, it is still history.
When that first primitive man first awoke and told his cave mates that it was time to get up, that was a news communication about current events. Later when he told a younger member of the troop where he had found food last week that was a history lesson.
As man learned to communicate better he began to pass on more and more of this older information. To better remember the story it was woven into songs and poems to make it easier to remember. And many of the more important lessons evolved into folk sayings, and the Old Wives Tails.
These Tails weren’t so named so much because they were old, though they clearly were, but rather because they were passed on by the oldest members of the group. Passed on by those who remembered them from days long past. Often told and retold more in a setting of entertainment than as real stories they were, and are, often discarded as fiction.
But are they completely so?
As I pointed out before there is an argument to be made that the old stories of Trolls and Goblins were based on the raids by an older more primitive race upon the more recent arrivals. While he have seen the skeletons of these people we don’t actually know how they looked. Science assumes that because they lived in the north they had pale skins, but did they? Science assumes they had light thin body hair like we do, but did they?
What if they were more ape like.
If these older people had a dark ape like skin, and more ape like body hair they would have been fierce looking creatures indeed. Hair and beards with a dark skin would, with a little dirt and soot, look black and menacing. Longer thicker body hair would give the person a clearly animal like look. They could be easily taken for a monster.
OR, they may have been recognized as a different people by the newer race and given a more descriptive name.
IF, this happened and the older race was clearly outnumbered and driven deep into the woods and forests, they could become rare and unusual sightings. Add in the human tendency to kill anything that scares us and they may avoid the newer peoples like the plague.
Just what might the new people call this race? Forest People? Hairy Wild Men? Woodland Giants? Or maybe Sasquatch, Almasti, or even Yeti.
There is a clear case that the first arrivals in North America arrived before the last Ice Age and that the Clovis People may well have come from Europe rather than Asia. Their artifacts are more common in the east than in the west where they were first discovered and named for example.
Could the Clovis have been the older hairier race that fled west ahead of the newer people across the edge of the ice and the islands of the then shallower North Atlantic? It is possible. And if it happened they would have arrived about 15 to 20,000 years ago well ahead of the Asian migration. They spread west across North America in a warmer period after the last Great Ice Advance. They lived in a world of Mammoths and Hairy Rhinos where the land was thick with large game. A world that a hairy body and dark sun absorbing skin would have been helpful in.
Then something happened. As the huge miles thick ice withdrew and melted there was a huge amount of melt water forming. A small ocean formed around and north of the great lakes. For centuries the melt had run south, but now something blocked the flow. Several theories have been tossed around as to what happened and why. Ranging from tall moraines, to stubborn ice walls, to meteor impacts they all agree on one point. The melt water did not go south. Instead the small ocean of cold fresh water went east along the St. Lawrence river. Right into the path of the North Atlantic current that was causing the warming cycle that caused the melting.
And the current changed.
About 10,000 years ago the Younger-Dryus cooling happened. The North Atlantic current was disrupted, the weather cooled, and within a year the ice began to return. That first winter would have been catastrophic. Blizzards and extreme cold well beyond anything the natives or animals had experienced or were prepared for.
There are no Clovis settlements or relics newer than 10,000 years ago. Clovis settlements have deep layers of overlay between them and any other signs of human habitation.
During this period the Asian migration moved east over the Aleutian Island route and down into North America. In the many centuries of slow spreading and growth the Asians moving south met the remains of the Clovis. By now the Clovis had been decimated. Only small isolated family groups remained, and these had been close to the sea or in the warmer south west during the cooling. Their hairy make up, evolved for a cooler climate, now drove them north and into higher elevations.
Could the oral history of these early meeting be the bases for the Indian stories of the Sasquatch or Almasti?
Just how long does oral history last? How many centuries will a story be told and re-told before it’s forgotten?
And as we all know stories will be changed to meet the audience so how far have they wandered from the originals?
" What was once history became legend, and then legend became myth. And things that should have been remembered were forgotten." The Lord of the Rings.
